Long ago and worlds apart, the Small Fakers members played in separate bands, although some paths had crossed. To cut a long story short the journey started around the time of the 2006 SF convention. I had the idea in my minds eye for a little time. After getting ourselves together, we rehearsed hard and did our first one night stand in Feb. 2007.
We received some great reviews and feedback which made us think 'ello things are gonna get better' and they did. Highlights so far include playing the Isle of Wight Festival, Carnaby Street SF plaque unveiling, the 2007 Small Faces convention and Butlins! As well as meeting some top people: John Hellier, Val Weedon, Mick Taylor and Stan Lane who have helped us along the way. Ta. Oh and that man Kenney Jones!
In the afterglow of our first 8 months we are all happy boys happy. Personally I feel much better and am looking forward to an even better 2008!
